About the Artist

DSC_0298 copy

I believe that LIFE IS ART.  The daily nuances, the simple moments, they are all beautiful, and I love to capture them through the lens of my camera.  I have been studying the Art of Photography since I can remember, finding beauty and uniqueness in all of my surroundings.

While I am largely self-taught in the art of photography, and believe it is truly the best way to learn this craft, I do have a Certificate from New York Institute of Photography.  I have worked previously for wedding photographers, portrait photographers, and as a freelance concert photographer in Austin, TX where my work was published in Texas Music Magazine.

I have found where I belong in the realm of photography, and am living my dream as a Custom Portrait Photographer in The Woodlands, TX and loving every minute of it!

But a little bit more about me :).  I want to get to know your family when I take your portraits, and think it’s only fair that you get to know a little bit more about me too!  I am a mother to two wonderful children and wife to a very supportive man.  I am a runner and sometimes cyclist.  I am an artist–I love all things creative and dabble a little bit in most all of them!  I love to travel (and will do so for portraits too–e-mail me for more details if you are interested!), and I’m on an eternal quest to find balance in my life–this is sooooooo much harder than it sounds!

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit, and for taking a look at some of my work.  I hope to get the chance to know you and hear what story your life has to tell very soon!

I am a proud member or the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
