I managed to quietly get my camera and capture this peaceful moment of my daughter “reading” one of her books after dinner tonight.
Because of my job, my kids are acutely aware of my camera and when it comes out, so I have to work pretty hard (and/or very stealthily) to get an image like this. Case in point….the image below.
As soon as she realized the camera was on her (mere seconds if that of course), these are the kinds of antics I get…
And then, seconds later, my son is standing on his head to get attention as well…
Literally:
I hope everyone out there had a wonderful weekend, and I hope this brought a smile to your face :).

Too funny! My three-year-old has started saying “cheeeeeeese” the second he sees my camera…even though I don’t think I’ve EVER told him to say cheese!
Ha! My 3 year old does that sometimes too, and I’m positive I’ve NEVER asked her to say cheese…but I still have to remind my husband not to ask them, so I know she comes by it honestly :).
I love it- especially the sequence of your daughter lol! Hey, at least they will perform for the camera! Emma just tries to bargain for things now and says ‘you must ask me before taking my picture.’ Put me in my place, huh?
Ha,ha! That’s awesome :)!
I”m glad it made you smile! And yes, they’re both pretty darn cute no matter what they are doing in front of the camera!
Definitely a smile! And those are pretty cute antics!
